I saw the above named movie today. Very nice, and really well done. I was a little surprised because it is not so much about Edward R. Murrow as it is about a time period that seems to parallel our present situation as seen through the eyes of those who lived through it. It’s uplifting, in that despite the many pressures to “just go along,” Murrow and his colleagues make some really tough decisions.
The movie is shot in black and white, and the lighting is superb and dramatic. If you’ve ever wondered why so many of today’s photographers love b/w… this movie will show you why.
I’d say this is a must see movie for anyone who does not understand why so many of us are upset by the present administration’s policies and tactics.
In addition to the well told story, the music is fantastic. Go see it if you get a chance.
Since we have similar taste in movies, I will go for sure. Thanks for the tip.
I think you’ll enjoy it.
Have you seen Mrs. Henderson Presents yet? I am certain you will enjoy.
No, I haven’t seen it yet, but really like Bob Hoskins and Judy Dench. It’s definitely on my “to see” list.
Haven’t seen it, but I will add it to the HUUUUUUGE list to get to. Oh for the love of a decent video store. Not in these parts. Netflix might be my next strategy.
Nice to meet you, came from Knock Knock where I always have a laugh.
Thanks for dropping by, Lily. I’ve added your site to one of my regular places to visit. Only know a few people who use NetFlix. They rave about it.
