The Giants beat them because, the Giants were the better team… and they wanted it more.

It may have been noticed, that I have not written anything about the Giants this year. Well there were a number of reasons. One, they started off terribly. Two losses in a row. Then, they had a tremendous defensive stand in the third game and looked like they might be turning around. I dared not write anything (no matter how I was feeling), out of fear of jinxing them.

Then, by time they played the Patriots in the last game of the season, they were on a roll on the road. Their defense, which had made such a great show in that third game, became a dominant force and Eli stopped throwing interceptions and fumbling the ball.

Just as the Giants seemed to be peaking, the Patriots were

slumping. After that last game against the Giants (Yes, I know the Patriots won it,… but just barely), other teams seemed to have some idea on how to beat them because the games were getting closer. I mean, they almost lost against the Chargers who didn’t have their best players.

So, you won’t see me joining in any conversations about how the Patriots lost. The Giants beat them because, the Giants were the better team… and they wanted it more.
