cuba vs iraq

It never ceases to amaze me that such a petty administration can continually show its childishness despite all the serious/real issues confronting our nation.

LOS ANGELES, May 10 — Michael Moore, the provocative filmmaker who has made a career out of skewering automakers, gun enthusiasts and the Bush administration, is being investigated by the Treasury Department over a trip he made to Cuba for his new film, “Sicko.”

This month the department sent a letter to Mr. Moore saying it was investigating whether he had violated restrictions on travel to Cuba when he accompanied sick workers seeking free medical care as part of a documentary on America’s health care industry.

katie’s show

This is the very first week of her moving to CBS and being an anchor. These are the choices she and her producers have made… Why am I nervous?

I, like so many others, watched Katie Couric on CBS news tonight. I watched it more out of curiosity than anything else.

I found it interesting that she had Thomas Friedman on her first show.
I also found it interesting that Karl Rove is allowing bush to be interviewed by her later in the week.
And again, I found it interesting that she will be interviewing Rush Limbaugh this week.

lieberman and constitution

New York Times:

Facing Senator Joseph I. Lieberman’s independent candidacy, Republican officials at the state and national level have made the extraordinary decision to abandon their official candidate, and some are actively working to help Mr. Lieberman win in November.

You need know nothing more about Lieberman than this tidbit. It’s not an accusation, it is actually what the Repugs are doing… That’s how important Joe is to them.

today show

The (alleged) president of the United States is told by the Supreme Court that he and his administration have been violating the Constitution and international law (impeachment offenses with anything other than a Republican Congress) and we get Starr Jones???

Oh… My…. God!!! I get up this morning and as is my habit, since it iis the top of the hour, turn the Today Show on to catch the headlines for the day, then I usually turn to Democracy Now for the real news in depth.

So, I figure the news headlines will contain some mention of the Supreme Court ruling yesterday wihich basically says that bush has been breaking all of our laws.

President Bush violated every standard of the military code, the US Constitution and international law with its order for military tribunals at Guantánamo.

And, what is the Today Show showing at 8am (when they usually give the national and international news headlines??? An interview with Starr Jones… What!?!? Oh,… My,… God!!! How is that possible??? The (alleged) president of the United States is told by the Supreme Court that he and his administration have been violating the Constitution and international law (impeachment offenses with anything other than a Republican Congress) and we get Starr Jones???

Even if we get this clown out of office,an uninformed populace will put someone like him back in office. No wonder Katie left.

how do you spell treason?
