tomlinson: part 2 (final chapter?)

Hopefully this will be the last we’ll hear from Tomlinson concerning the CPB,… but you know what they say about bad pennys.

A while ago, I wrote about a Frank Rich article about Kenneth Tomlinson and how he was trying, basically, to destroy the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Well, here’s the latest news:

Kenneth Y. Tomlinson’s problem wasn’t just that he wanted public television to hew to his conservative ideology. He was also apparently blinded by those same politics to the laws, policies and practices that are supposed to guide public service.

… and

E-mail evidence shows that he was regularly taking direction from the White House, including in the appointment of Patricia Harrison, a bigwig in Republican circles, as the CPB’s new president, a job traditionally reserved for non-politicians with actual TV experience.

Hopefully this will be the last we’ll hear from Tomlinson concerning the CPB,… but you know what they say about bad pennys.

  1. Maybe they could just tour around with all the horse shows and draft the judges and support staff to fill all politically appointed positions. You’re doing a heckofa job, Bushie. I mean what’s experience anyway, but just practical knowledge. Who needs that?
